The Beurer LB-55 is a hot water evaporator air humidifier designed to restore and maintain healthy indoor humidity levels in rooms up to 50 m². Using hot water evaporator technology, the device heats water to above 100°C to produce a hygienic, odourless, and near bacteria-free warm mist — making it one of the most hygienic humidification methods available for home use. It is particularly effective during the cold season when indoor heating lowers relative humidity below the recommended 40–60% range, contributing to dry skin, irritated eyes, dry mucous membranes, and increased susceptibility to airborne infections.

Usage Instructions

1. Place the LB-55 on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls, furniture, and electronic devices. A raised position (shelf or table) allows the mist to disperse more effectively across the room.
2. Remove the water tank, fill it with clean tap water or distilled water up to the maximum fill line, and replace it securely into the unit.
3. Connect the mains cable to a power outlet (220–240V~, 50/60Hz).
4. Select output level 1 (200 ml/h) or level 2 (400 ml/h) using the control switch. The corresponding LED will illuminate.
5. The device will take a few minutes to heat the water before mist begins to emerge. This warm-up period is normal.
6. The device will switch off automatically when the tank is empty. Refill the tank when needed.
7. Place a new anti-limescale pad inside the tank as directed in the instruction manual and replace every few weeks or as needed to maintain performance.

Care and Maintenance Instructions

• Unplug and allow the device to cool completely before cleaning or refilling.
• Remove and rinse the water tank with clean water after each use. Allow to air dry before refilling to prevent stagnant water build-up.
• Descale the heating element and tank regularly following the guidance in the instruction manual — especially if using tap water in a hard water area. Limescale build-up reduces efficiency and can shorten the device’s lifespan.
• Replace anti-limescale pads regularly as directed — replacement pads are available separately (Beurer item no.: 162.843 anti-limescale filter).
• Wipe the exterior housing with a soft, lightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Do not submerge the base unit in water.

Warnings and Precautions

• The device produces warm mist and the housing can become warm during operation — keep away from children, curtains, walls, and heat-sensitive furniture.
• Do not place directly on carpet or soft surfaces — use a flat, hard, heat-resistant surface only.
• Do not operate near open flames, heaters, or other high-heat sources.
• Do not add essential oils, medication, or chemical additives to the water tank — the LB-55 is not designed for aromatherapy use and additives can damage the heating element.
• Do not allow the tank to run completely dry repeatedly — while automatic switch-off protects the device, repeated dry-running shortens lifespan.
• Using distilled water reduces limescale build-up significantly — particularly important in hard water areas.
• Do not use if the power cable or housing shows signs of damage.
• Keep out of reach of children during operation — the mist and device surface can be warm.
