The Accu-Chek® Instant S is a compact, easy-to-use blood glucose meter from Roche Diabetes Care that delivers results in under 4 seconds with no setup required. Compatible with Accu-Chek Instant test strips — the same strips used by the Bluetooth-enabled Accu-Chek Instant — it features easy-edge test strips with a wide, yellow dosing area that makes blood application straightforward and reduces errors from insufficient samples.

A customisable target range indicator visually classifies each result relative to individual therapy goals — providing at-a-glance feedback without requiring the user to interpret a number alone. Up to 720 blood glucose results are stored with date and time stamps, alongside 7, 30, and 90-day averages. Data can be transferred via USB (micro-B connector) to the Accu-Chek Connect Online portal for comprehensive diabetes data management and reporting.

The Instant S is compatible with the Accu-Chek Softclix and Safe-T-Pro lancing devices for comfortable testing. A single CR2032 coin cell battery powers the device. Dimensions: 77.1 × 48.6 × 15.3 mm.

Usage Instructions

1. Insert an Accu-Chek Instant test strip — the meter powers on automatically. No setup required.
2. Obtain a small blood sample from the fingertip using the Softclix or Safe-T-Pro lancing device.
3. Touch the blood drop to the wide, yellow dosing edge of the test strip — blood is drawn in automatically.
4. Wait less than 4 seconds for the result. The target range indicator classifies the reading immediately.
5. To transfer data to the Accu-Chek Connect Online portal, connect via USB (micro-B) cable to a PC and follow the portal’s instructions.

Warnings and Precautions

• For in vitro diagnostic use only — external blood glucose testing only.
