Usage Instructions

1. Insert 3 × AAA batteries. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface — a firm, level surface is essential for accurate measurement.
2. Press the ON/OFF/TARE button to switch on. “app” will flash on the display for 120 seconds — during this window, the scale can be paired with the BabyCare app via Bluetooth. Press any button to use the scale without the app.
3. Wait until “kg” (or your selected unit) appears on the display, indicating the scale is ready.
4. If weighing on a blanket or towel: place the blanket on the scale, allow the display to stabilise, then press TARE to zero.
5. Gently place the baby on the curved weighing surface — take particular care with the baby’s head. Never let go of the baby.
6. The auto hold function detects when the weight stabilises and locks the reading. For manual hold, press HOLD at any moment to lock the displayed value.
7. Read the locked weight. If Bluetooth is active and the app is open, the measurement transfers automatically to the Beurer BabyCare app.
8. For height measurement, unroll the integrated 150 cm tape and measure the baby’s length.
9. Important: Measurements stored on the scale without prior Bluetooth sync cannot be transferred to the app retrospectively — sync before each session if app tracking is important.

Care and Storage Instructions

• Wipe the curved weighing surface clean with a soft, damp cloth after each use. The smooth surface has no crevices and is quick to clean.
• Never immerse the scale in water or rinse under running water — the electronics are not waterproof.
• Protect the scale from knocks, moisture, dust, chemicals, drastic temperature changes, and nearby heat sources such as ovens or heaters.
• Do not press any buttons with pointed objects or excessive force.
• If the scale will not be used for an extended period: store in the original packaging in a dry environment, do not place any objects on top of the scale during storage, store away from children and pets, and remove the batteries to prevent leakage damage.
• Keep packaging material away from children — risk of suffocation.

Warnings and Precautions

• Never leave a baby unsupported on the scale — always keep one hand near the baby at all times during weighing. Take particular care with the baby’s head.
• The curved surface is designed for infants up to 20 kg — do not use for older children who can stand independently.
• Do not exceed the 20 kg maximum capacity.
• Use only on a hard, flat, level surface — soft surfaces like carpet affect measurement accuracy.
• Swallowing batteries can be extremely dangerous — keep batteries and the scale out of reach of small children. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.
• Repairs must only be carried out by Beurer Customer Services or authorised retailers — do not attempt to open or repair the scale.
