The Beurer BY-76 is an electric steam steriliser designed to quickly and reliably disinfect up to 6 baby bottles and their accessories in a single 7-minute cycle. Using high-temperature steam rather than chemical sterilising agents, it eliminates all harmful household bacteria from bottles, teats, pacifiers, breast pump accessories, and other baby items — providing a safe, chemical-free sterilisation method suitable for regular daily use from birth.
A built-in LED display shows the remaining sterilisation time, and an acoustic signal confirms when the cycle is complete — so you always know exactly where the process is without needing to watch the device. Contents remain sterile for up to 3 hours when the lid is kept closed after the cycle completes, giving useful flexibility for timing feeds. The automatic switch-off activates once the cycle ends, and a cord winder keeps the kitchen surface tidy between uses. Accessories are dishwasher-safe to a limited extent for added cleaning convenience. Compact at 33.50 × 22.50 cm and lightweight at 1.23 kg. Backed by a 3-year Beurer guarantee.

Usage Instructions
- Ensure all items to be sterilised have been thoroughly washed with warm soapy water and rinsed before placing into the steriliser.
- Pour the specified amount of distilled or demineralised water into the water reservoir at the base of the steriliser as indicated in the instruction manual. Do not overfill.
- Place bottles, teats, pacifiers, and other accessories into the steriliser. Position bottles upside down to allow steam to circulate through the interior.
- Close the lid securely.
- Connect the mains cable and switch on. The LED display will count down the 7-minute sterilisation cycle.
- An acoustic signal confirms when the cycle is complete. The device will switch off automatically.
- Allow the steriliser to cool before opening — steam inside will be hot immediately after the cycle. Use tongs or clean hands to remove items.
- Items remain sterile for up to 3 hours if the lid is kept closed. Open only when ready to use.
- Use the cord winder to store the cable neatly after unplugging.
Care Instructions
- Descale the water reservoir regularly to prevent limescale build-up from reducing sterilisation effectiveness. Follow the descaling guidance in the instruction manual.
- Use distilled or demineralised water where possible to reduce limescale build-up.
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, lightly damp cloth after cooling. Do not submerge the base unit in water.
- Accessories can be cleaned in the dishwasher to a limited extent — refer to the instruction manual for which components are dishwasher-safe and at what temperature.
- Store with the lid closed in a clean, dry location when not in use.
Warnings and Precautions
- Always allow the steriliser to cool before opening after a cycle — the interior steam and components will be very hot immediately after completion.
- Use only the amount of water specified in the instruction manual. Overfilling can cause malfunction; insufficient water can damage the heating element.
- Never operate the steriliser without water in the reservoir.
- Ensure all items placed in the steriliser are dishwasher-safe or steam-sterilisable — do not sterilise electronic components, battery-operated items, or materials that cannot withstand high-temperature steam.
- Do not use near the edge of surfaces or where it could be knocked over — the steriliser and its contents will be hot during and immediately after the cycle.
- Keep out of reach of children during and immediately after use.
- Do not use the steriliser if the cord or unit appears damaged.
- Always unplug after use.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does steam sterilisation work?
Steam sterilisation works by exposing items to high-temperature steam under controlled conditions. The heat of the steam denatures the proteins in bacteria, destroying their cell structures and eliminating them. The BY-76 generates steam from water in its base reservoir and circulates it through the sealed chamber, reaching and sterilising all surfaces of bottles and accessories placed inside — including the interior of upturned bottles — within 7 minutes.
What can I sterilise in the BY-76?
The BY-76 is designed for baby bottles, teats, pacifiers, breast pump components, and other small baby accessories that are compatible with steam sterilisation. Do not sterilise electronic components, battery-operated devices, or any item that cannot withstand high-temperature steam. Always check whether individual components are marked as steam-sterilisable before placing them inside.
How long do bottles stay sterile after the cycle?
Items remain sterile for up to 3 hours after the sterilisation cycle is complete, provided the lid of the steriliser remains closed throughout that period. Once the lid is opened, items should be considered no longer sterile and should be used promptly or re-sterilised.
Do I need to use chemical sterilising tablets?
No. The BY-76 sterilises using steam only — no chemical sterilising tablets, solutions, or additives are needed or recommended. Only water is required in the base reservoir.
What type of water should I use?
Beurer recommends using distilled or demineralised water in the BY-76 to minimise limescale build-up in the heating element and reservoir. In areas with hard tap water, using distilled water will significantly extend the period between descaling. If tap water is used, descale the unit more frequently following the instruction manual guidance.
How many bottles can I sterilise at once?
The BY-76 can sterilise up to 6 standard baby bottles and their accessories simultaneously in a single 7-minute cycle. Bottle sizes and shapes vary, so the actual number may be slightly lower with larger bottles — refer to the instruction manual for arrangement guidance.
Is the BY-76 a medical device?
No. The Beurer BY-76 is not classified as a medical device under EU regulations. It is a household baby care appliance designed for the hygienic sterilisation of baby feeding equipment in domestic settings.
