Usage Instructions

1. Select the ear canal attachment (dome) that best fits your ear canal from the three sizes included. Attach it to the acoustic tube of the hearing amplifier.
2. Insert a fresh PR48 (size 13) zinc-air battery by opening the battery compartment, removing the pull tab from the battery to activate it, and inserting it with the correct polarity.
3. Place the device body behind the ear, with the acoustic tube running toward the front of the ear and the dome inserted gently into the ear canal opening.
4. Adjust the volume control to your preferred level. Start at a lower volume and increase gradually to a comfortable listening level.
5. If the sound is uncomfortably loud or distorted at any volume, lower the volume immediately. Hearing amplifiers should be used at the lowest effective volume.
6. Switch off the device after use and store in the included storage box to protect from dust and moisture.
7. Remove the battery or open the battery door when storing for extended periods to preserve battery life.

Care Instructions

• Wipe the device body and acoustic tube with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Do not use water, solvents, or cleaning sprays directly on the device.
• Remove ear canal attachments (domes) regularly and clean with a dry cloth or replace with new domes when they become worn or discoloured.
• Store in the included storage box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
• Remove the battery when the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent battery corrosion inside the battery compartment.
• Drying capsules are available as accessories (Beurer item 110.192) — placing the device in a drying capsule container overnight extends the service life of the device by removing moisture.
• Do not attempt to clean the acoustic tube with liquids. Use the included cleaning brush (if provided) or a dry tool to clear blockages.

Warnings and Precautions

• The Beurer HA-50 is a personal sound amplification product and hearing amplifier. It is not a prescription hearing aid and is not intended to compensate for significant or severe hearing loss. If you have significant hearing loss or any ear condition, consult an audiologist or ENT specialist before using any hearing amplifier.
• Do not use at high volume levels for extended periods — prolonged exposure to amplified sound at high volumes can further damage hearing. Always use at the lowest effective level.
• Do not insert the device or ear attachments deeply into the ear canal. The dome should sit at the ear canal opening only.
• Do not use if you have pain in your ear, ear infection, ear discharge, perforated eardrum, or any active ear condition without prior medical consultation.
• Do not use near MRI machines or other strong electromagnetic fields — these can interfere with the device and may damage it.
• Keep batteries away from children. Zinc-air batteries are dangerous if swallowed — seek immediate medical attention if ingested.
• Zinc-air batteries activate when the pull tab is removed and are not rechargeable. Once activated, the battery will gradually discharge even if the device is not in use. Remove the tab only when ready to use.
• This device is a single hearing amplifier. For bilateral hearing loss, a second device would be required.
