Test Strips for Accu-Chek® Active – 50 Strips

Accu-Chek Active Blood Glucose Test Strips are manufactured by Roche Diabetes Care and designed exclusively for use with the Accu-Chek Active blood glucose meter. Using a mutant variant of the glucose dehydrogenase quinone (Mut. Q-GDH 2) enzyme with photometric end-point measurement, they deliver accurate, reliable blood glucose results in as little as approximately 5 seconds when the strip is inserted into the meter.

No manual coding is required — the strips contain a chip code that the meter reads automatically. An arrow indicator on the strip guides correct insertion direction, and a re-dose function allows additional blood to be applied within 10 seconds if the initial sample is insufficient, triggering an underdosing alert. The meter also warns when strips are expired.

Blood can be applied to the strip while it is inserted in the meter or outside the meter (approximately 8 seconds outside). The system meets the accuracy requirements of ISO 15197:2003. This pack contains 50 strips.

Usage Instructions

1. Wash and dry hands thoroughly before testing.
2. Remove one test strip from the box. The arrow on the strip indicates the correct insertion direction.
3. Insert the strip into the Accu-Chek Active meter in the direction of the arrow — the meter powers on and reads the chip code automatically.
4. Use a lancing device to obtain a small blood sample from the fingertip or approved alternative site.
5. Apply the blood drop to the designated area on the test strip. If insufficient blood was applied, add more within 10 seconds.
6. Wait approximately 5 seconds for the blood glucose reading to appear on the meter display.
7. Record your result if needed. Refer to the Accu-Chek Active user manual for complete guidance.
